Pianist Alison Bruce Cerutti and violist Elizabeth Reid were planning to celebrate 15 years as the Cerutti-Reid Duo in a series of concerts mid-March 2020. However, the outbreak of COVID-19 resulted in the cancellation of these concerts in person.

Alison and Elizabeth have decided to perform a new series of virtual mini-concerts on Elizabeth's Facebook page, all this month featuring Vermont composers, and incorporating elements of live performance, prerecorded video segments, and interviews with the composers.

The composers featured this month will be Lydia Lowery Busler on Saturday, August 15th, Kathy Wonson Eddy, on Thursday, August 20th, and Carol Wood, Friday, August 21st.

Violist Elizabeth Reid is known as a vibrant performer of contemporary and classical music. A "fierce champion of today's music" (Times Argus), Elizabeth has performed solo viola concerts in Canada and the United States, including recently in Toronto, and at Arts Riot in Burlington, Vermont. Elizabeth is the violist of TURNmusic and the Northern Third Piano Quartet. Since 2012 Elizabeth has been the principal violist of the Opera Company of Middlebury Orchestra. During these COVID times, she has been performing a series of online concerts featuring Canadian and American composers on her Facebook page, Elizabeth Reid Violist, and the TURNon Series for TURNmusic.

Elizabeth has a strong interest in contemporary music and is always looking to play new works for the viola. She welcomes composers to contact her with project ideas. Elizabeth is also available to give workshops on performing contemporary music for middle and high school students.

...the composer couldn't have asked for more than Reid's intimate and beautifully expressive performance. ”
